These notes are mostly written for myself: they’re roughly my thinking environment (Evergreen notes; My morning writing practice). But I’m sharing them publicly as an experiment (Work with the garage door up). If a note seems confusing or under-explained, it’s probably because I didn’t write it for you! Sorry—that’s sort of an essential tension of this experiment (Write notes for yourself by default, disregarding audience).

This vault is my personal notes that I have written in the course of completing my prerequisite classes to get into a Nursing program. Eventually (fingers crossed) it will be for my Nursing School notes as well.

This is an ongoing project to digitize, organize, and expand on all of my notes covering topics in mathematics and physics. The goal that drove the creation of this site is the desire to archive the body of material I've been exposed to through research and coursework.

Welcome! I'm Nicole van der Hoeven, and you've somehow managed to find your way to my working notes (at least the ones I've published). They're messy, half-formed, and unpolished, so if you don't understand something, it's probably because it was written mainly for me. Consider this an experiment in Learning in public. You've been warned!
This is a place where I write, think and collect. It's a bit of fun, but it's also an attempt to take knowledge work seriously.
I'm testing out writing these notes as a system for improving my own writing and thinking process. As part of this system, I'm sharing out a subset of these notes in order to promote serendipity. You can help me out by sending me an email or message with any ideas or thoughts you have while browsing.
